The Lodging
This beautiful 1847 farmhouse offers the following:
- Grounds with apples trees, perennial gardens, and enough space to roam that allow privacy and that country feel.
- farmhouse kitchen and dining room that seats 15
- living room with great stone hearth and library of books
- a 25 x15 ft. screened sun porch overlooking perennial gardens and apple trees. This pastel-painted porch has couches, stuffed chairs, plants, and the relaxing ambiance of a bygone era. Perfect for lazy afternoon reading or naps
- the house sleeps eighteen and offers diverse room accommodations including: two- bedroom suites connected by a bath; one suite has with it's own second-floor private sun porch with views of the perennial gardens; two one-bedroom suites; a huge third floor loft with in-suite bath
- spacious laundry room for last-minute needs
- the house is steps away from the charming
Knowlton Marina, with boating rentals, swimming and dockside bistro
The Culinary Getaway and Cooking Classes
For interested adults, we will offer:
- cooking classes in the farmhouse kitchen, using only the freshest, locally grown ingredients.
- visits to our favorite culinary specialty shops in Montreal
- visits to the famous Grand Marché Jean Talon in Montreal, an open –air market that is a "chef's dream" of locally- grown organic and specialty produce, meats and cheeses, offering the best specialty foods imported directly from France, as well as those of local artisans in the French tradition. Interested guests may shop with Philippe and help prepare meals.
- visits to our favorite French restaurants
- the wine tour of our pick of forty wineries
- you may join us by car or bicycle, as the wine route offers a full bike route. (We can arrange for you to ride any portion of the route and be picked up at any point to be returned to the farm)
- visit to the local duck farm where we will select ingredients for one of our class menus

Every Friday & Saturday Evening: Bistro Ducrot
(Reservations beginning at 6PM) From Paris to the provinces, the neighborhood bistro is the place where friends gather for convivial atmosphere, great food and good wine at a reasonable price. It is casual and unpretentious – a great place to relax at the end of the busy week. Join us and enjoy the Chef's specialties & authentic family recipes. $42 per person.
